We have all heard from government officials and "concerned" citizens one of the reasons they are so against nudity, nudist resorts and nude beaches in America is "we have to protect the children."
You never know, a child might be permanently blinded by the sight of a bare breast or god forbid a bare penis or vagina. Never mind of course that kids in Europe have been going to topless and nude beaches and/or nudist resorts for almost 50 years and have a lower teenage pregnancy rate then American teenagers, but I digress.
Many American businesses are just as bad with the political correctness as our government officials and "concerned" citizens.
I saw this story in yahoo news today about a recruiting firm warning Santa Claus in Australia about saying the expression "Ho Ho Ho." They were instructed to say Ha Ha Ha instead.
Santas were warned "not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute."
Now if that is not the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Unless a little kid listens to Don Imus, I seriously doubt they have ever heard of the expression "ho."
When I heard the story took place in Sydney, Australia I thought to myself "good, other countries are even be more screwed up in their political correctness then the US." But, then sadly I read that it was an American company called Westaff that ordered the Santa's to be careful about using the word "ho".
Great, the new American export- how to be politically correct and look ridiculous to the rest of the world.

"SYDNEY (AFP) - Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday.
Sydney's Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead, the Daily Telegraph reported.
One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute.
