College students from the top hospitality school in world doing a survey on clothing optional resorts

If you are in the hotel industry, you would know that probably the 2 best universities where you can get a degree in hotel management are at the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland and the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV).

This is what is said about the Swiss school. The Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) is one of the world's best-known and most respected schools of hospitality management. Their mission is to educate students who are aiming for top careers in the international hospitality industry, especially in leading hotels, restaurants and hotel chains. As the first hotel school in the world, founded in 1893, they are the leader in hospitality education.

UNLV's program is also one of the best in the world. What is cool is a few years ago, one of their professors and his wife from UNLV stayed with us so that he could teach a course in Alternative Hotels to his students. He wanted first hand experience at the best clothing optional resort in the west" as he told us.

His course was about clothing optional resorts, gay and lesbian, boutique resorts, bed and breakfasts, entrepreneurship and small resorts, etc.

This weekend we got an email from EHL where they are doing a survey on clothing optional resorts.

Here is the survey:

: "RE: Clothing optional survey

> Dear Mr Mulhall,
> Thank you for answering us.
> I am sending you the questions.
> Questions about the optional clothing concept in the Hospitality Industry
> Concept
> 1. What are the origins of this concept?

> 2. Is this concept succeeding in your hotel? We mean do you have success with this idea?
> Place
> 1. Why did you actually chose California to set up this Hotel?

> 1. What time of marketing did you use?

> 2. Did you use publicity?
> Finances
> 1. Could you tell us the criteria that determine the prices to the accommodation and restaurant meals?
> 2. When did you break even?

> 3. How much did you need, approximately, to maintain your concept?
> Human resources organization
> 1. How many employees do you have in your hotel?
> Costumers
> 1. Why do people choose you, choose your concept? Curiosity? Love for nature?

> 2. Normally do they come back? Do they like it?

I thought this was pretty cool that college students (or their professors as I really can't tell) are having a project about clothing optional resorts. I asked them if I could send me a copy of the finished report. I will share it with everyone if I get it.

To me, since this is the BEST hotel school in the worldd, and people there are showing interest in clothing optional resorts, it looks like nude and topless sunbathing is going to be around for a long time and really is as popular (when well run) just like the media says.
