Most Italians approve of nude sunbathing

Here is an interesting survey I came across that says 70% of the Italians surveyed said they would sunbathe nude if everyone else did. 80% of Italians said nudism was not erotic, but quite natural. Wow! Could you imagine results like that here in the US?

What I thought was a funny question was would you mind unattractive nude sunbathers? Figures only in Italy, the land of Armani and Ferrari would they even think of a question like that. I guess personal attractiveness is very important in Italy. Also I guess they don't have political correctness in Italy like they they do here in America.

We have been to Italy twice. We did find many Italian woman topless sunbathing, but no male or female nude sunbathing. The last time we were in Italy was 5 years ago, so maybe there may be some nude beaches by now.

And if you are looking for a fantastic vacation here in sunny Palm Springs, CA, give us the Terra Cotta Inn Clothing Optional Resort and Spa a call at 800-786-6938. Visit our site at Sunnyfun.com

See you in sunny Palm Springs!

"Most Italians Like Naked Sunbathing
By: The Agency
from: www.doubleagent.com

According to the results of a recent survey, most Italians think that nude sunbathing is very natural and don’t mind crossing paths with naked beach-goers, even when the person isn’t too attractive.
Topless sunbathing is a normal practice in Italy, although bottoms are usually required to avoid a fine said the Italian Naturalist Federation. The Federation said that a poll it commissioned from a mainstream media outlet found that almost 70 percent of people surveyed said they would sunbathe nude if everyone else did. More than 80 percent also said that nudism was not erotic, but quite natural.
Women seem to be more bothered over the subject than men. A little over 40 percent said they didn’t like see other women naked on the beach, while a mere 5 percent of men shared their opinion about nude women.
Nearly two-thirds of men stated that they weren’t bothered by nude, male sunbathers.

As for unattractive sunbathers, most surveyed said they didn’t mind seeing them naked, with only around 16 percent saying that they were annoyed by unattractive female nudists and 9.7 percent didn’t like unattractive men.

The Federation stated that the survey would bolster their hopes of having more beaches set aside for nude sunbathing."
